The company was founded in 1995 as White River Barge Co. Ltd. The main thrust of the business was repairing, rebuilding, and demolition of floating structures. In the performance of these tasks, we were afforded first hand experience as to why certain designs fail and how to improve them.

The natural progression was to engage in new construction. Our experience, combined with hundreds of hours consulting with engineers, has resulted in the “Signature Series” dock featuring a box truss design that we offer today. The level of quality and workmanship we provide on private, community, and commercial marinas from expansions, rebuilds and new docks has made us one of the leaders in the industry.

In keeping with the manner in which we have expanded our market, we decided to adopt a name more indicative of our business and growth expectations: North American Marine Industries, Inc., thus the name for the docks emerged, “NAMIDocks™”.

Another product, which compliments our floating docks and piers, is our boat lift systems. ”Bottoms Up© Boat Lift Systems”, which we design and manufacture, is a level lifting, air actuated boat lift in standard sizes to accommodate boats up to 48 feet in length.

We are also the sole manufacturer and distributor of the patented "Wave Lock" wave attenuation system, a lower cost alternative to traditional systems. We also design and build traditional wave atennuation systems for inland waters.
